Again, yes electricity is super important. Just saying that the data shows that the sequence was usually railroads opening the country and trade up before electricity got to those places. I think because for electricity to work, people must be able to pay for it and pay its actual market price hence their economic situation must be markedly improved before electricity can work proper. That’s the vicious cycle we’re experiencing in Nigeria right now for electricity — most people cannot afford to pay the true worth of their electricity and this hampers the needed investment into the area. So perhaps railroads opening up commerce and increasing wealth is prerequisite to electricity. Like I said, I’m still studying this
